First Commisions

I've not posted in a while due to college work but mainly been busy on these two

Two kids my other half teaches told her their favourite characters are Iron Man and Loki so I did these two watercolour paintings for them. I spent around 2 days on each one, A4 printing paper. They aren't fantastic but I'm proud of these pieces and was sad to let them go, but was worth it seeing it make the kids happy.

Pinhead (Hellraiser)

Did this sketch today of Pinhead from Hellraiser at a request for more Halloween artwork.
Took quite a while to do this what with all the nails (very tedious) but not a bad end result.
Used sketching pencils and a graphite stick on A3 cartridge paper, check out the time lapse below

Two Face Painting

Freshly finished today, Two Face from Batman.
This is a time lapse of a painting I did of Two-Face from Batman. I based my painting around Two Face from The Animated Series, The Dark Knight and Comics. I approached the image by painting the Harvey Dent side carefully whilst the Two-Face side was more expressionist. I used pva glue to create texture and depth to the piece. I added collage from newspapers and images I found online and I painted this using acrylic paints

Frank Zappa Sketch

Spent today drawing the music legend that is Frank Zappa, big fan of his music and to me personally the greatest musician to have lived. His compositions are a combination of Classical music, New Wave music and Humour. To me Frank Zappa will always be the 22 year old musician who made his media debut playing a bicycle on the Steve Allan Show (go youtube it)

Drawn on A3 Cartridge Paper using sketching pencils, a graphite crayon, ruler and eraser.
See my development in this video. Enjoy
